The Grantham Research Institute (GRI) report Global trends in climate change litigation: 2026 snapshot was released in June 2026. It covers key climate litigation themes from the past year. For 2025, these included the ongoing maturation of the field of climate change litigation as an instrument of climate governance, the diversification of litigation origins globally, and political change.
